The people who pick up the phone.

A small staff, a volunteer board drawn from the EOD community, and a bench of advisors who have sat on both sides of a closing table.

Why we're built this way

Narrow on purpose.

Every person on this page could earn more doing the same work for a lender or a brokerage. They are here because a nonprofit can do the one thing a commissioned professional structurally cannot: tell you the deal is bad and walk away from it with you.

That is the whole organization. Everything else – the grants, the agent network, the articles – exists to make that conversation possible earlier.

We are not paid on your outcome

No advisor here is compensated on whether you buy, what you borrow or from whom. It is the single design decision everything else follows from.

We serve one community

There are excellent organizations serving every veteran. We serve one career field, so we can know it well enough to be useful on a Tuesday afternoon.

We say no out loud

If the right answer is to wait a year, we will tell you that and write the plan that gets you there. It is the least popular thing we do.
